Automatic plasma air gouging machine for flawless welds

Plasma gouging is an advanced metal processing method that utilizes a high-temperature plasma arc (up to 30,000°C) generated by a plasma power source to locally melt metal workpieces. Mainly used for welding repair, root cleaning, grooving and beveling, surface defect removal.

    Product Introduction

Plasma gouging is an advanced metal processing method that utilizes a high-temperature plasma arc (up to 30,000°C) generated by a plasma power source to locally melt metal workpieces. Simultaneously, high-velocity plasma momentum and compressed air rapidly blow away the molten metal, enabling precise material removal. This process is critical for welding repair, root cleaning, and grooving to ensure full weld penetration and structural integrity.

    Key Applications

Weld Repair: Remove defective weld seams (porosity, cracks) without damaging the base metal.
Root Cleaning: Eliminate slag, oxidation, and impurities from the backside of welds for 100% fusion.
Grooving & Beveling: Create precise U/V-shaped grooves for multi-pass welding on thick plates.
Surface Defect Removal: Cleanse casting flaws, rust, or coatings before rewelding.
